About the event
Join me for an open forum discussion tackling the two most pressing issues—food security and nature protection, these conversations are more important than ever.
Having grown up on a dairy farm, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and hard work that goes into producing food and caring for the land. I’ve watched my parents, grandparents, neighbours, and friends balance the needs of both.
This is about sharing perspectives and gathering new insights into how the countryside and farming are often misunderstood, with assumptions that lack empathy, knowledge, and real understanding.
This event is an open forum and an opportunity to socialise and meet others we hope to welcome local farmers, community members, nature conservationists, and anyone with an interest in this important topic. It’s a chance to socialise, connect, and share, with the aim of fostering mutual respect and understanding.
While the evening will have a structure, the real goal is to make connections and find common ground, share ideas and solutions.
The purpose is simple: to unite people, create spaces for different groups to connect, and learn from each other. We’ll come together not just to talk, but to see the human side of these issues and recognise that, at the end of the day, we’re all trying our best.
Come and join the conversation—let’s find a way to work together for a better future.
